The Lodges
Luxury lodges near Cambridge, built around the view.
Twenty‑five minutes from Cambridge and an hour from London, each lodge is set apart from the others for seclusion, with nothing around you but light, air and the gentle roll of the Humphry Repton parkland. The glass runs floor to ceiling, so morning light over the landscape tends to keep people in bed a little longer than planned.
The room is the comfortable bit. The lake, the spa, the sauna, the padel courts and the coffee roastery are all a short walk up the hill.
Outside your door
Cook on the fire.
Every lodge has its own OFYR: a wood‑fired fire bowl with a wide flat rim that doubles as a cooking surface, plus a grill. Logs, firelighters, gloves, utensils, a frying pan and an apron are all there when you arrive. Cook supper outside, then keep the fire going for the stars.

Inside
Everything you need. Nothing you don't.
A king‑size bed with premium linen, a proper bathroom, a dining nook, and a terrace that faces the view. It's quiet, warm and simple, in the best sense.

A night in a lodge
How it tends to go.
Nothing is bundled and nothing is compulsory. Book what you fancy before you arrive, or on the day from the terrace.
- 3pm
Arrive.
Park in the lodge car park, walk down, drop the bags, open the doors onto the terrace.
- Late pm
Lake, then sauna.
Ninety minutes of cold water and hot cedar on the lake. Book ahead; weekend slots go first.
- 7pm
Light the fire.
Cook on the OFYR, or walk up to the courtyard for pizza from the oven (Wednesday to Saturday).
- 8.30am
Coffee.
Bean Theory opens at 8.30. Take a flat white back to bed, or book a treatment or a court before you leave at 11.

Need more room?
Families of four usually take the cottage or two lodges. Bigger gatherings can book the house, the cottage, the flat and all eight lodges together.
Where are the lodges?
At Waresley Park Estate in the village of Waresley, Cambridgeshire, between Cambridge and St Neots: about 25 minutes from Cambridge by car, 15 minutes from St Neots and Sandy stations, and an hour from London. The lodges sit on the quiet south‑western edge of the 120‑acre estate.
What makes these lodges different from other glamping or lodges near Cambridge?
Each lodge is built for two around a single view, with floor‑to‑ceiling glass, a private terrace and a wood‑fired OFYR fire pit, and the swimming lake, cedar sauna, private spa, padel courts and coffee roastery are on the same estate. You book the view; the room comes with it.
What time is check‑in and check‑out?
Check in from 3pm, check out by 11am. If you need to arrive earlier or leave later, ask in advance and we'll do our best.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes. One small or medium well‑behaved dog per lodge, £25 per stay. Dogs are welcome in the coffee shop too.
Can the bed be split into two singles?
No, the king‑size bed is fixed. If you need separate beds, book a second lodge.
Are children allowed?
Yes, accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of two people per lodge. A family of four needs two lodges. Blow‑up beds aren't allowed.
Where do I park?
There is designated parking for the lodges. Directions come in your pre‑arrival email 48 hours before you arrive.
Do you take last‑minute bookings?
Often, yes. Check the calendar above, or call 01223 491396 for same‑day availability.
What's included?
Premium linen and toiletries, towels, a private terrace, high‑speed Wi‑Fi and a wood‑fired OFYR fire pit with logs and firelighters.
Can I book a spa day or treatments as part of my stay?
Yes, but they book separately: nothing is bundled, so you only pay for what you use. The spa is popular, so book as early as you can via the spa page.
What else is there to do on the estate?
Wild swimming and sauna, the spa, padel, paddleboarding, yoga and sound baths in the tipi, and whatever is on that week. Everything books separately; see What's On.

How do I get here?
Gamlingay Road, Waresley, Cambridgeshire SG19 3DD: about 25 minutes from Cambridge and an hour from London. St Neots and Sandy stations are a 15‑minute drive with direct trains to King's Cross (about 45 minutes). Need a lift from the station? Ask us.
