A private festive dinner in the Long Room for your team, your friends or the whole family: canapés and Crémant on arrival, a seasonal menu from Head Chef Ed Forrest‑Brown, and one long table for up to 30. From £60 a head, twenty minutes from Cambridge.
The evening
Your people. One long table.
The Long Room is a warm, wood‑panelled space beside Bean Theory, set for one long table. You arrive to canapés and a glass of Crémant, sit down to two or three courses cooked from local produce, and have the room, and the estate around it, to yourselves for the evening.

Candlelight, good wine and nobody checking the time.
Lunch or dinner, midweek or weekend: tell us what suits your group and we'll find a date in December. The room is yours for the whole sitting.
How it works
Three steps to December.
Work parties, family gatherings, a table of old friends: whatever the occasion, December dates go first. Tell us your numbers and a couple of preferred dates and we'll hold one for you while you confirm.

02 · Choose
Pick your menu.
Choose two or three courses, your five canapés and any extras: a cocktail workshop before dinner, paired wines, cheese or petits fours. We'll send a pre‑order form for your guests.
03 · Arrive
Sit down and enjoy it.
Follow the signs to the Bean Theory car park; the Long Room is right there. Staying over? The lodges and the house are a short walk away.
Make a night of it
Nobody has to drive home.
The lodges and the house are a few minutes' walk from the Long Room. Book rooms alongside your dinner and turn the evening into the whole Christmas do.

Send your numbers and a couple of preferred dates and we'll come back with availability, the pre‑order form and anything else you need. Groups of every size welcome; the room seats up to 30 at one table.

Is there a minimum number?
No fixed minimum: whatever the size of your celebration, get in touch and we'll shape it around you. The Long Room seats up to 30 at one long table.
Can we cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. The menu has vegetarian and vegan options in every course, and Ed can adapt dishes for allergies and intolerances. Tell us when you send the pre‑orders.
Do we pre‑order?
Yes. Once your date is confirmed we'll send a simple pre‑order form so everyone can pick their courses in advance, which keeps service smooth on the night.
Can we add drinks?
A glass of Crémant is included on arrival. Add a wine pairing flight or a festive cocktail workshop to your booking, and the bar is open on the night.
Can we stay over?
Yes. Eight lodges sleeping two each, or the seven‑bedroom house for up to 16, are a short walk from the Long Room. Ask when you enquire and we'll hold rooms alongside your dinner.
Where do we park?
Follow the signs to the Bean Theory car park. The Long Room is right beside the coffee shop.
