108 Sun Salutations

Monday 6th April 8-9.45am
Join Kate in the Tipi, by the lake, for 108 sun salutations to welcome the morning spring sun.

This is a moving ritual that blends breath, rhythm, and intention. This steady, repetitive flow becomes a form of moving meditation, inviting focus, resilience, and deep presence. As the body warms and the mind quiets, you’ll have the opportunity to meet challenge with compassion and discover a sense of strength and clarity that unfolds from within. Whether you complete all 108 or rest when
needed, this practice is an offering: to honour transition, set intention, and connect to something deeper, individually and collectively.

Why 108?
There are 108 beads on a mala, used for mantra repetition and meditation. Completing 108 Salutations mirrors this cycle of devotion and focus.
The number represents wholeness: 1-unity, 0-emptiness/possibility, 8-infinity.

108 Sun Salutations are often practiced at times of change—solstices, equinoxes, new beginnings, or endings—marking thresholds with intention and presence.
